The Partisan was the newspaper published by the Peace And Freedom Party State Central Committee and was published regularly from 1994 to 2009.A “Cancel The Rent” car caravan, sponsored by ANSWER, was held in dozens of cities throughout the U.S. on Saturday, April 25th. In Sacramento, Peace and Freedom Party state chair John Reiger and wife Debra Reiger were among the many who participated in this rent protest while maintaining social distancing due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
At least a dozen cars carried the “cancel the rent” message as they traveled past grocery stores and a hospital in Sacramento. During this extraordinary time, it is important that workers should not be driven into debt by unpayable rents and mortgages.
