This statement was adopted by the Peace and Freedom Party State Central Committee on August 1, 2010.

The Peace and Freedom Party of California endorses the call of the Palestinian trade union movement and many unions around the world for a labor boycott of Israel to protest the attack on the Flotilla ship Mavi Marmara and the Zionist apartheid wall in the West Bank. Already dock workers in Oakland, Sweden and Norway have taken action not to load and unload Israeli cargo and ships and we urge more such actions internationally including a boycott of El Al Airlines (a passenger airline now equipped with an anti-missile system.) We applaud the action of dockers who have taken action on this issue.

We also call for the end of US military and economic aid to Israel until it withdraws to its 1967 borders. We also support US unions breaking relations with the Zionist Histadrut union federation.

This union, which had investments in South Africa during apartheid, is a company union and discriminates against Palestinians in addition to supporting a Zionist state. It also supported the assault on Gaza that killed 1,200 Palestinians and defended the bombing of Palestinian trade union offices.

We endorse and support a world labor campaign similar to the one organized against South Africa to bring down the current regime in Israel and bring about a secular state where all people are treated equally with full democratic rights.
