Resolution on the "On Time Budget Act"

Peace and Freedom Party Supports the California Democracy Act, not the "On Time Budget Act"

Resolution adopted by the State Central Committee of the Peace and Freedom Party, Sacramento, California, April 12, 2010:

The Peace and Freedom Party does not support the "On Time Budget Act" initiative which endorses the present 2/3 requirement for raising revenue. We call on the California Federation of Teachers CFT and California AFL-CIO to withdraw their sponsorship of that initiative and to, instead, join us in supporting the California Democracy Act which is being re- introduced. This initiative will eliminate the 2/3 requirement to raise revenue in the California Legislature.
