Among its other crimes the present Bush administration has exceeded all other previous administrations in rewriting the scientific findings of federal agencies.

Reports prepared by federal institutions such as the Institute of Medicine and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Agency have been edited by Bush staff to completely change the results of years of scientific inquiry.

Rewriting these scientific findings - paid for with taxes - for political propaganda purposes is contrary to the interests of the working class. Corrupting science to fit the political agenda of rightwing interests has historically been a step toward fascism.

The Peace and Freedom Party condemns this practice, and encourages its candidates to expose it whenever possible.
