[Peace and Freedom Party Convention - August 27, 2006]

We call for the removal or resignation of William Zachary as chair of the California Fraud Assessment Commission and call on all candidates for California Insurance Commissioner, Attorney General and Governor to join this call, and we call for an independent federal investigation in the cost shifting by insurance companies in order to avoid paying injured workers their medical and other costs and for criminal penalties for insurance companies and their agents who withhold medical benefits and other benefits that result in the death or serious injury of injured workers and, we call for the removal of the insurance industry from healthcare in California with a single payer program so all people and injured workers receive healthcare.
