A celebration will be held on June 13 to honor Berkeley resident Tom Condit, a lifelong socialist and founding member of California’s Peace and Freedom Party who ran several times for public office. The celebration will be held at the Redwood Gardens in Berkeley, CA and will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Tom died Jan. 9 at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland of prostate cancer. He was 72.

Two Peace and Freedom candidates will speak briefy at a meeting of the Marin Peace and Justice Coalition on Monday, March 8. They are Marsha Feinland, who is running for the U.S. Senate, and Eugene Ruyle, who is running for Congress from the 6th District, which includes all of Marin and most of Sonoma counties. The meeting starts at 7:30pm.
